Notice of Bid on Real Property Owned by the Village of Stillman Valley

 NOTICE OF BID ON REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE

VILLAGE OF STILLMAN VALLEY, IL

            PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 11-76-1 and 11-76-2 of the Illinois Municipal Code, 65 ILCS 5/11-76-1 and 5/11-2, that the Village of Stillman Valley duly enacted Ordinance No.958, at a regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees on July 12, 2021, entitled AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF 320 E ROOSEVELT STREET, STILLMAN VALLEY BY OPEN BID.  The Ordinance, authorizes the sale of a vacant and unimproved parcel roughly 90 feet x 132 feet and  generally described as 320 E Roosevelt Road, Stillman Valley, Ogle County, Illinois,  P.I.N. 10-01-376-009, and legally described as:

PARCEL

Lots Eight (8) and Nine (9) and a strip of land to a line 90.23 feet south of the north line of said lots and parallel thereto, in Joshua White’s Sixth Addition to the Village of Stillman Valley, in Ogle County, Illinois; situated in the Township of Marion, County of Ogle, State of Illinois.

The property consists of one vacant and unimproved, irregularly-shaped lot located in the Village’s R1 Residential zoning district.  Its current use is as a municipal green space. Development plans for the Property must conform to the R1 Residential zoning district standards and complement existing residential uses in the vicinity of the Property.  The property is being sold as-is for a sum determined to be appropriate by open bid.  The Village makes no representation as to the condition of the Property.

Any person may submit a written sealed bid for the purchase of the Property.  The Village will consider all bids to purchase the Property received no by later than August 9, 2021.  There is no minimum bid.  The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any technicalities in the bidding if it should be deemed in the public interest.  These decisions will be final and not subject to recourse.  This request for proposals does not obligate the Village to pay any costs incurred by any bidder in the submittal of a bid or in making necessary studies or designs for the preparation of that bid.

Sealed bids for the Property shall be marked “SEALED PROPERTY BID” and must be received by the Village Clerk by no later than noon on August 9, 2021.  Any bids received after noon on August 9, 2021 will not be considered.  Sealed bids should be delivered to Village Clerk Yvonne Dewey, Stillman Valley Village Hall, 120 N Walnut Street, PO Box 127, Stillman Valley, IL  61084.  For further information regarding the Property, interested persons may contact Village Clerk Yvonne Dewey at 815-645-2200 during regular business hours.

Sealed bids will be opened at the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees on August 9, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at Village Hall, 120 N. Walnut Street, Stillman Valley, Illinois 61084.
