NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village of Stillman Valley, Illinois (“Village”) intends to sell the following Village owned real estate:
Property commonly known as “216 N Walnut Street, Stillman Valley, IL” with PINS 10-01-304-005 and 10-01-304-014, approximately 25 feet x 66 feet more or less in size, zoned B-1 General Business, and currently utilized as green space; and Property commonly known as “212 N Walnut Street, Stillman Valley, IL” with PIN 10-01-304-006, 45.5 feet x 122 feet more or less in size, zoned B-1 General Business, and currently utilized as green space.
The Village is hereby accepting written offers to purchase the above-listed property. All written offers should contain the name of the offer and the offer price for the property. All offers should be tendered to the Village Clerk or addressed to: Village of Stillman Valley, Attn: Village Clerk, PO Box 127; 120 N Walnut Street; Stillman Valley, IL 61084. The front of the envelope should also include a reference that a written offer for the property at 216 N Walnut Street and 212 N Walnut Street is enclosed.
The property is being sold “AS IS/WHERE IS” condition with payment by the successful buyer due in full at the time of closing. The successful buyer shall enter into a written real estate contract with the Village setting forth all the terms of the sale of the real estate, which shall include, but not be limited to, the use of the property remaining as that of a green space. The aforementioned terms shall also include the following terms: Buyer shall pay all closing costs and recording costs; Village shall not provide title insurance to the buyer; the property is subject to all liens, encumbrances, covenants, conditions, restrictions and easements, and real estate taxes for 2022 and beyond.
The Village may accept the highest offer or any other offer determined to be in the best interest of the Village. The Village may also reject any and all offers. Any questions regarding submittal of bids should be directed to the Village President, 815-645-2200.
