PUBLIC NOTICE – WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
The Village of Stillman Valley will be constructing a new watermain on Pershing Street from Stillman Road to Pine Street and on Oak Street and Hickory Street from Grant Street to Lincoln Street. The watermain construction will also include constructing new water service lines from the new watermain to the property line for each customer. This project is being financed by the Public Water Supply State Revolving Fund (SRF) Loan program. The SRF program is administered by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and receives a portion of its money to fund these types of projects from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Once complete, this project will allow the Village to continue to provide quality drinking water for area residents and will replace aging and deteriorating water mains. SRF programs operate in each state to provide communities the resources necessary to build, maintain, and improve the infrastructure that protects one of our most valuable resources: water.
