Celebrating 610!

STILLMAN VALLEY • BYRON • DAVIS JUNCTION

The Villages of Stillman Valley and Davis Junction, together with the City of Byron, have joined efforts to celebrate our three adjoining towns located along Route 72. The week of June 10 each year will be for Celebrating 610.  There will be a variety of events happening in all three communities.  Area businesses will have 610 specials during this week as well.

 

Garage Sale Days

Garage Sale Days are scheduled for June 2, 4 & 5 2022.  Ads are still just $5 and are due in Village Hall by May 23, 2022 to be included in the Village’s list.

 

Clean Up Days

Village Clean Up Days are scheduled for June 4 – 11, 2022.  Approved items may be dropped off at the Village Garage (315 Milwaukee Lane) Saturday’s 7:00 a.m. to Noon.  Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  A list of acceptable items will be included with your May utility bill.  Please do not drop off unacceptable items!

 

Electronics Recycling

Stillman Valley and Davis Junction are partnering together to host an electronics recycling event.

Location:  410 W Chicago Ave – Davis Junction

When:  June 12, 2022     Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Bring your ID with the Village of Stillman Valley address (corporate village limits)

Limit 7 bulk items per household; we have the right to refuse any item.

Microwaves are still just $5 each

 

Open Burning of Yard Waste Only

April 1, 2022 –

May 31, 2022

&

October 1, 2022 –

December 15, 2022

No person shall burn, or cause to be burned any material on or within any street, alley or public places within the village.  Open Burning is yard waste produced in the village only.

DOES NOT INCLUDE GRASS.

 

Building Permits

We issue building permits for fences, pools, decks, driveway enhancements, and home improvements. If you are building or remodeling , you may need a building permit. The process does not take long, but you could avoid potential fines by completing a permit application before building.
